Pryd o Fwyd’s trading conditions have been increasingly difficult over the last year and increasing rent, as well as a further huge hike in electricity costs, mean that running the restaurant with any hope of a profit would be close to impossible.
It’s taken significant investment by ...me to keep the business going over the last year, and a further increase in costs make this simply impossible. As a result, I’ve taken the difficult decision not to renew the lease on the building.
This means, sadly, having to close the restaurant, cafe and post office with effect from today.
Setting up Pryd o Fwyd has been an incredible journey and I’m so proud of what we managed to create - transforming derelict space into a relaxing and enjoyable environment. I really appreciate the support of all the customers that visited and dined with us, and hope that we leave you with memories of fantastic evenings.
I hope to find alternative ways to bring Pryd o Fwyd to you in the future, and in the meantime we’ll continue to be offering outside catering for parties and other events.

The Pryd Quiz returns on Thursday 17th for another week of thrills, spills and, well, questions.
